Japanese Garden Clean-up Volunteering
Yes, I'd like to help keep our garden beautiful! April 5, 10:00 - noon
Did you know we have a beautiful Japanese garden at Loose Park? The
Loose Park
Japanese Tea Room and Garden, dedicated in July 2006, was conceived as a cultural exchange between the Sister Cities of Kurashaki, Japan and Kansas City, Missouri. The Tea Room is set in a traditional Japanese garden featuring a small ornamental fountain, large boulders, many shrubs and groundcovers with a pathway leading to the Tea Room. The small garden is a place for quiet meditation.
Volunteers help keep this treasured space beautiful by coming together Saturday mornings in April through October, weather permitting. (Please check for cancellation updates on this event page in case of rain or other poor weather.
No special equipment needed, but gloves and sunscreen strongly encouraged!
Other clean-up dates include May 3, June 7, July 12, September 6 and October 25
