カンザスシティーは地理的にアメリカの中央部に位置する(アメリカの心臓）カンザス州とミズーリ州にまたがる中規模の都市で、アメリカの伝統と新しい文化が程よく共存しています。観光で訪れる方には興味に応じて訪れて頂けるところが様々あり、長期または短期滞在にも住みやすい街です。


HAJAS 中西部日米協会は1962年に日本と、カンザスシティーやその周辺に住む人々との友好を深める事を目的として設立されました。日本に関する情報やアメリカ生活で役立つ事などを毎月のニュースレター等で発信しています。毎月メンバーや当会に興味を持たれる方を対象にミーティング（毎月第４火曜日）を行い、メンバー間の交流をはかっています。姉妹都市は岡山県倉敷市で、２０２３年に50周年を祝いました。

HAJAS主催の行事及び近隣の日本に関連するイベントは年間を通じて行われ、逐次ニュースレター等でお知らせしています。メンバー以外の方も参加して頂けますので、興味のある方はHAJASに直接お問い合わせ下さい。又は EVENT CALENDARをクリックして下さい。
