Although the picnic on 4/11 was cancelled due to the fear of Coronavirus, you can enjoy beautiful Cherry Blossoms at the Loose park .  There are two types of Cherry Trees, the one called "Somei Yoshino" (Yohino Cherry, with slightly pink, almost white, 5-petaled blossoms), and the other called "Yae Zakura" (the late-blooming pink colored Cherry Blossoms with more than five petals).

HAJAS is inviting you to attend our first Zoom May General Meeting.

For our First Zoom General Meeting, we welcome Jeannae Segura Brown to present favorite songs of Japanese Children.

The Zoom meeting invitation will be sent via Nichibei Express on Tuesday, May 26th.  Please check your email.

    Title of Presentation:

      Favorite Songs of Japanese Children

What's is about:  A fun to build an understanding of Japanese culture with young non-Japanese children. Participants will hear the songs and get some ideas of how to dramatize, dance or play a game as a fun way to practice with non Japanese speakers.  I hope these songs will jog the memories of the KCJAS Japanese members who might remember these songs from their elementary school days.
